Hike At Olompali State Historic Park To Mt. Burdell, Novato, Marin County
Date: Saturday - February 11, 2012
Leaders: Cindy and Greg (Cell 707-637-7326)
Join us as we hike from San Marin, to Mt. Burdell summit, to Olompali State Historic Park. Spectacular view from Mt. Burdell summit.
Long Hike: 8 Miles, Moderate to Steep hike up to Mt. Burdell summit, down hill to Olompali.
OR
Short Hike: 5 Miles, Moderate to Steep hike to Mt. Burdell Summit. No Leader for return to San Marin.
Longer Hike should be back to Olompali parking lot by 1:30PM
Meet: Noah's Bagels in Petaluma at 9:00AM ready to leave by 9:10AM.
Take Hwy 101 to Washington Street exit, go one block East and turn Right at McDowell, turn Left into the Safeway shopping center. Noah's Bagels is next to Safeway.

Meet: Olompali State Historic Park at 9:45AM, at Park Gate.
DO NOT ENTER OLOMPALI PARK GATE.
Take Highway 101 South to Marin County, Olompali State Historic Park entrance is the next exit on your right after Marin County Refuge Disposal turn off.
(Note: Olompali has access from Highway 101 South only ). If traveling North on Highway 101, travel past Olompali 1/4
mile north to Refuse Disposal turn off, turn around and head south on Highway 101 to Olompali State Historic Park entrance.
NOTE: WE WILL CARPOOL FROM OLOMPALI PARK GATE, TO SAN MARIN EXIT. WE WILL NEED TO LEAVE VEHICLES AT OLOMPALI, FOR RETURN TRIP TO SAN MARIN AFTER THE HIKE.

Olompali Parking: $8:00
Bring: minimum of 1500ml / 50 Fl. Oz. Water, Lunch, Snacks, Sun Screen, Wear Layered Clothing, Rain Gear optional.
Weather: Steady rain will cancel hike.
